The governor of Abia state, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has said that Aba will continue to occupy a special pride of place in the administration’s scheme of things.
Speaking during the Father’s Day/second phase of N500m Secretariat launching and investiture of patrons award of the Christian Men’s Organisation of the Christ the King Church (CKC) Aba, Dr Ikpezau said that it was due to his resolve to solve the myriads of problems confronting the commercial hub of the East that made him to relocate to Aba to give political will to numerous projects going on in the city.
Speaking through his deputy, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu, Dr Ikpeazu said that government’s investments in the city have started yielding fruits with Aba ranked as the fifth hub of and Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the world and the governor has instill confidence in the Made in Aba products thus becoming a global brand.
The governor talked about the great potentials in the Enyimba Industrial City and urged the people to return the governor in 2019 to enable him complete the project cited between Aba and Port Harcourt and along with other numerous projects going simultaneously in the three senatorial zones of the state.
While promising to fulfilled all the promise he made to them, pledged to partner with the Catholic Men organization and thanked them for the award to him stating that it will spur him to do more.
Dr Ikpeazu commended the Priest in charge of the parish for his great works and congratulated members of the CMOs for what they are doing in the cathedral premises.
